AMOLED stands for Active-Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode. OLED stands for Natural light Emitting Diode. Both provide good quality displays. OLED comprises thin layers of the organic component which emits light when current passes through it whereas in AMOLED there is an additional (thin-film transistors) TFT layer.
